Along with the forethought of acquiring the perfect URL to go with their business model, Usedpumps.com has been fortunate to have a superb management team and has remained an established player in the international pump supply market for over 30 years.

As Usedpumps market went global, the method of communications went from visiting the warehouse to telephone and email.  The Usedpumps management team decided to go to the World Wide Web. 

The Problem :

Usedpumps needed three main functions:

  • To alleviate awkward situations, a real time inventory listing was needed so that website visitors and sales reps were always looking at the same information.
  • They needed a way to file and retrieve quote request data so that in the future if a previously requested pump came into inventory, the company would then have the ability to contact the inquirer to let them know the style pump was now available.
  • Many of Usedpumps clients are returning customers.  The company did not want to have the client go through the process of entering contact information every time they made a request. They needed away to make returning customers quickly search and submit quote requests.
The Solution:
  • Butler Worldwide created an integrated quote / inventory system that allows administrators to edit inventory information at will.  Quote requests are collected annotated, tracked, and retrieved through several methods designed to enhance the efficiency of both the Usedpumps sales team as well as the customer.

  • The sale steam is now able to update customer information or inventory data thet is immediately available to web visitors. 
  • The customer web search allows previous visitors to alleviate much the data entry needed to submit a quote request and are notified, via email,  a confirmation of their  quote request.

The force behind Rig-A-Lite success is its worldwide distributor network and experienced sales force. Supported by Rig-A-Lite’s innovative management style and support, these sales reps are provided many tools that allow them to offer their clients unequal sales and product support.

The Problem :
  • Over time, requests for specific fixture options began to gather in the RAL engineer’s inbox. Newer and newer industry applications called for modifications to existing fixtures. No problem. The RAL product line has grown to over 40 separate product lines, each consisting of a plethora of options and accessories that allow customers to literally build the fixture they need. With the expansion of the product / option catalog, a way to allow customers and sales representative to easily configure fixtures was left to phone calls or catalog schemetics.

  • RAL needed a way to utilize their organized product numbering system to allow reps and customers to view the product lines and “build” a fixture number that would represent the complete fixture they needed, including specific options.

  • With the nature of the RAL engineering always expanding on product lines, RAL needed a way to dynamically update their product catalog in way that would allow reps and customers to have access to real time data.
  • RAL offers replacement for many other manufacturers fixtures and wanted to allow reps and customers the ability to cross reference part numbers.
The Solution:
  • BWW implemented an administrative content management interface that allows staff to easily add new product lines to their website.

  • A “Part Number Builder” was developed that allows reps and customers to virtually build the fixture they need by selecting various options and accessories. This information can then be printed in a brochure format of sent to RAL in the form of a quote request.

  • A “Competitor Cross Reference Search” was implemented that allows customers to search for RAL products based on another manufacturers part number.
